Earlier this year, Wiggins created quite a buzz in drag racing when he converted his 602-Steve Schmidt engine to electronic fuel injection (EFI), thanks to support from Holley Performance Products and Hilborn Fuel Injection.
"It’s an honor to be a part of the PRI Show with Holley Performance Products and Hilborn Fuel Injection – two great companies synonymous with fuel injection,” Wiggins comments.
“This year we proved that EFI on a dragster is possible – it’s super consistent and easy to dial,” Wiggins adds. “Hopefully all our hard work will payoff by getting to the Winner’s Circle in 2012…EFI is the next level of drag racing.”
About Trevor Wiggins
Trevor Wiggins is well known throughout the automotive and racing industries, having been involved with both since a young age. He has raced shifter carts, Formula Ford, Formula Mazda and Toyota Atlantic, and participated in NTPA truck and tractor pulling before getting involved with NHRA Super Comp drag racing. In his second year drag racing, Wiggins was runner-up at the Division 2 Cecil, Ga. race, finishing the 2009 season ranked seventh in his home division and 40th nationally. In 2010, Wiggins was runner-up in Super Comp at the NHRA 41st Annual Gator Nationals. Despite changing his motor set-up mid-season, Wiggins finished the 2011 season ranked 11th in NHRA Division 2.
In addition, Wiggins also has become a fan of “the Salt,” annually racing Speed Weeks at the Bonneville Salt Flats . In 2010 Wiggins’ drove a 1932 Ford C-Gas Roadster with a down the Salt Flats to a top speed of 209 m.p.h.
