We finally made it to Las Vegas on Tuesday night and it was so windy!
Parking and tech on Wednesday with time trials on Thursday.
It was a smart move converting to a Holley EFI/Hilborn set-up earlier this year, but we have had some struggles getting all the components to work in harmony. Each track poses new challenges, but with each race we are getting smarter and closer to where we want to be.
On the 9.05 index, Trevor won first round off a red light before losing round two. The car went dead on 9.053, but we had a .035 light.
We'll spend the week at SEMA before next weekend's Las Vegas divisional race.
Follow Trevor Wiggins and his family along their racing endeavors and family adventures.
Welcome!
Enjoy the triumphs, trials and tribulations of the Wiggins Racing Team. We hope you laugh and cheer with us along the way...

V-V-P Travel Update
We finally made it into Arizona and pulled in for the night in Flagstaff. Other than some rough roads at times along Interstate 40, the trip has gone smoothly (maybe TOO smooth!).
After two days of driving, we took a side trip to the Grand Canyon before heading on to Vegas.
In one word the Grand Canyon is AMAZING. Yeah, it is just a hole in the earth, but it is just absolutely breath taking. Everyone should see it.
You would think that after two days of riding in the motorhome that our two boys would be just itching to run around. So, we took a short hike along the Grand Canyon. We encountered a determined tarantula along the path. He didn't even flinch when he saw us!
Our boys were unimpressed. All we heard was "I want to go back to our motorhome." Jeez.
Back at the motorhome Trevor had some fixing to do (the trip had gone TOO smooth!). Just before we headed out we spotted a herd of elk right in front of our motorhome. Impressive!
Back on the road and on to Vegas....

V-V-P
For more than a year we have talked about racing V-V-P, a three-week (plus) trip that would take this East Coast racing family west to Las Vegas and Pomona. "V-V-P" translates to the fall NHRA Las Vegas national race, followed by the Las Vegas divisional race and then on to the NHRA national race (and Finals) in Pomona, California.
On Sunday, Oct. 23 we embarked on this incredible family adventure. Combining resources with Eddie and Tyler Caheely, we loaded up their stacker trainer behind our motorhome and headed west!
After getting a late start (it took a while to get the trailer brakes hooked up -- definitely essential!), we made great time traveling through Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma and into the Texas panhandle.
You always here that it takes so long to travel through Texas. For us, it was New Mexico. It seemed like we would never make it to Arizona!
But what a beautiful country we live in. The landscape is so diverse and when you get out west, it really is barren.
